Connect dance mat to wii u. I could not find a way to connect the round connector attached to the dance dance revolution controller to the wii u. To my knowledge all of the wii dance pads are technically gamecube dance pads that plug in through the gamecube ports on the wii so the only way to use a wii pad on a wii u would be to use a gamecube adapter. I am wondering if there is any kind of adapter or anything really that will allow me to use the active life mat with my new wii u console. I bought the wii u console specifically to play this game.

Please note that these ports are associated with your wii remotes if you have multiple dance mats you will need to connect them to the sockets corresponding to the remote player 2 uses the second port and so on. It only works on dolphin with ddr mario mix and unlike actual designed for wii mats the controls do not need to be remapped to play mario mix. Problem is those adapters only work for one game. There are dance pads that connect to the wii mote but i do not recommend it unless it is a last resort. 4 connect the dance mat to the first socket the one with a single dot on the plastic above it.
