Corvette Clutch Pedal Stuck To Floor

Diagnosing a clutch pedal on the floor due to failed release bearing.
Corvette clutch pedal stuck to floor. Went to pull 2nd at about 7200 and the pedal stuck to the floor. So here we go. I can reach down and pull it up but that does not reset it and as read more. Preparing the vehicle to check the clutch pedal for a failed release bearing.
Part 1 of 4. The clutch pedal on my 2008 corvette went to the floor and stayed there. I had removed an old borg and beck type pressure plate for a center force dual friction diaphragm type. Do not attempt to start the engine and drive the vehicle with the clutch pedal stuck all the way to the floor.
The most common reason to have a clutch pedal that goes all the way to the floor is a broken clutch cable this is extremely common particularly on older cars. Common reasons for this to happen. Replacing the cable will allow you to engage the clutch and change gears once more. After doing a little spirited driving my clutch pedal will stick to the floor on my c5 corvette after a few high rpm shifts.
Clutch pedals that go from the rest position to full engagement but stay on the floor and don t spring back up. It will drive and shift w no clutch but will not disengage. Did not add a return spring at the clutch fork thinking the spring under the dash was enough.
