Dark Stains For White Oak Flooring

Dark stains for white oak flooring. Red and white oak are the most common types used in america with white oak being the cheaper variety. My question is should both 1st floor and garden level floors have the same color stain. My dilemma is what stain to go with. In my opinion hardwood floor stain colors are at their most impressive when the result is a deep color that is a million miles away from the actual color of the wood.
