Creating New Floor Plan Revit

If you rename the level you are asked if you would like to re name the associated floor plan and the reflected ceiling plan as well.

Creating new floor plan revit. If you select more than one level revit creates a separate area plan for each level and groups them by area scheme in the project browser. For type select a view type from the list or click edit type to modify an existing view type or create a new view type. At the prompt click yes to have revit lt rename the corresponding views. When you copy a level it doesn t automatically create a view in your project browser you will need to create one.

Use the project browser to rename the level if desired. To create unique area plan views select do not duplicate existing views. On the create panel click the plan views dropdown you ll see we can make floor plans and reflected ceiling plans. Select a level for the area plan view.

Click architecture tabroom area panelarea drop down area plan. Alternatively you can rename levels by renaming the corresponding view in the project browser. Select ribbon view plan views. Select one or more levels for which you want to create a plan view.
